Hello Hillcrest Country Club,
Due to the uncertainty of the upcoming pool season regarding social distancing, limitations on gathering sizes, and other clubs deciding not to field teams, the Pool Committee has made the difficult decision to not have a formal swim team this year. This was not an easy decision to come to and we apologize for any inconvenience this may cause you. However, the committee is committed to offer a variety of activities at the pool, within guidelines set by public health officials, Governor Holcomb’s office and Mayor Hogstett’s office. Please note, Hillcrest will continue to offer private and semi-private swim lessons to fit within social distancing guidelines.
The committee is happy to report that we are on-track to open the pool Memorial Day weekend; but this could change as we receive further information from the respective governmental authorities. As we learn more during this uncertain time, we will be in touch to let everyone know how those changes affect the operation of the pool at Hillcrest Country Club.
A huge thank you goes out to Scott Wenclewicz, who has already donated a pool side Connect 4 game and is looking to donate a few other items for poolside use. In addition to Mr. Wenclewicz’s generous donation, the pool committee has also purchased some new pool furniture that includes Adirondack chairs and umbrellas.
We look forward to a successful pool season here at Hillcrest Country Club and appreciate your patience and understanding as we navigate this uncertain time.
